Info about the material:
This tape is manufactured from ‘E-Type glass fibre yarn’. E-Type glass is a Boro Silicate glass of low alkali content which has a very high resistance to moisture and heat with superior electrical characteristics.
Continuous filaments of glass fibre of diameter 2.5 micron to 12 microns are twisted and / or plied which are then sized to facilitate subsequent handling.
Info about the manufacturing process:
Glass fibre yarns of required dimensions are selected and woven together with sophisticated needle weaving looms to manufacture high quality glass fibre tape. This tape is generally manufactured as per Indian Standards 5352 (Part 1):1999.
Application:
Glass fibre tape is mostly used in applications that require resistance to heat and moisture, this tape is used for coil winding in transformers and motors and also used in resin reinforced product.
Our Range:
a) Thickness:- We manufacture this tape in the thickness of 0.09mm, 0.13mm, 0.18mm, 0.23mm & 0.40mm as per Indian Standards 5352 (Part 1):1999. We also manufacture this tape in the thickness of 0.07mm for some specific customers.
b) Width:- Width is available from 12mm to 100mm.
c) Length:- We generally manufacture this tape in length of 50 Meters, but length can be supplied as per customer’s requirement. We have supplied 0.40mm x 60mm tape in 700 meter length and 100 micron x 65mm tape in 900 meter length. Pics of these tapes are shown on Fibreglass tape in Gallery.
